Biography: Jim Matheson, a founding director of Strategic Decisions Group, is a recognized leader in the development and application of decision analysis. He has conducted strategy work with companies from a variety of industries, including chemical, electronics, pharmaceutical, and entertainment. Jim was recently recognized by the Institute for Operations Research and Management Sciences (INFORMS) for his work in the field of decision analysis. Before confounding SDG in 1981, Jim directed SRI International's Decision Analysis Group.
David Matheson is a principal of Strategic Decisions Group, and international consulting firm headquartered in Menlo Park, California. Based in SDG's London office, he has conducted extensive research into decision making in a variety of industries. Through this research, SDG has been able to improve organizations' abilities to create value from research and development. In addition to his strategy consulting, David conducts frequent seminars for executives.
